Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper, Recover AK-47 in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command arrested a 43-year-old suspect named Jibril Yunusa during an operation in the Keana Local Government Area. The operation, which took place in Gidan Akuya Village, was conducted based on credible intelligence from the state intelligence department.

Upon sighting the police, the suspect attempted to flee but was pursued and apprehended. A search of the hideout led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, which was found with an empty magazine.

During interrogation, Yunusa confessed to being involved in several kidnapping activities within the Keana area. Police spokesman Ramhan Nansel stated that the operation was part of ongoing efforts directed by Commissioner of Police Shetima Moha to track down and arrest other gang members who fled during the operation.

The police reassured residents of Nasarawa State of their unwavering commitment to combat crime and ensure the safety of lives and property.
