Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper, Recover AK-47 in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command successfully detained a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle during an operation in Gidan Akuya Village, located in the Keana Local Government Area. The operation was disclosed by the police spokesperson, SP Ramhan Nansel, who stated that it was part of the command's ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and violent crime in the state.

Following credible intelligence, the police acted swiftly, and upon sighting the suspect, he attempted to flee but was apprehended. A thorough search of the hideout led to the recovery of the AK-47 rifle and an empty magazine.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to being involved in multiple kidnapping activities within the Keana area and provided information to assist in ongoing investigations to track down other members of the gang. The Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro, directed the intensification of efforts to ensure all gang members are arrested and brought to justice.
