Jigawa Police Arrest Suspected Kidnappers and Robbers

The Jigawa Police Command has successfully arrested several suspects involved in a series of kidnappings and armed robberies. The operations took place between May 22 and May 29, 2026, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Haruna Yahaya.

Three suspects, Musa (45), Manu Abdullahi (30), and Yusuf Ibrahim (35), were apprehended for their alleged involvement in armed robbery attacks in the Hadejia Emirate. During a search of Ibrahim's residence, police recovered an AK-47 rifle believed to be used in criminal activities.

Additionally, two suspects, Adamu Gari (55) and Abdullahi Adamu (40), were arrested for allegedly plotting to abduct two individuals in Jama Town, Bauchi State. The police also dismantled a gang operating along the Ringim-Chaichai road, recovering stolen motorcycles and sheep.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the command's commitment to maintaining law and order in Jigawa State and emphasized the importance of community support in combating crime.
