Jigawa Police Arrest Suspected Kidnappers and Robbers

Between May 22 and May 29, 2026, the Jigawa State Police Command conducted operations that resulted in the arrest of several suspects involved in kidnapping, armed robbery, and cattle rustling across different parts of the state. The command's spokesperson, Shi Isu Lawan, reported that the operations led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, three motorcycles, and six sheep.

The suspects identified include Musa Kala, 45, from Fateka Settlement; Manu Abdullahi, 30, from Mashin Bura Village, Malam Madori LGA; and Yusuf Ibrahim, 35, from Mark Village, Kaugama LGA. Two suspects were allegedly planning to kidnap residents in a neighboring area of Bauchi State and were identified as Adamu Gari, 55, and Abdullahi Adamu, 40.

Additionally, the command assisted in investigating other operations that led to the arrest of Mustapha Badamasi, 30, and Khalid Zubairu, 20, for sheep theft, recovering four stolen sheep and a Bajaj motorcycle. Two suspects involved in cattle rustling were also arrested in Taura LGA.
