Police Arrest Four Armed Robbery Suspects in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command arrested four armed robbery suspects linked to a robbery that occurred on June 27, 2026, at a corper lodge situated within a specialist hospital in Jimeta, Yola. The suspects, identified as Elkana Ishaya (17), Mubarak Abubakar (22), Musa Umar (30), and Kabiru Tanko (20), were apprehended following an investigation initiated after the police received a report of the incident.

The robbery involved the theft of valuables, including mobile phones, from 36 corps members residing at the lodge. Upon investigation, the police recovered four stolen mobile phones.

Suleiman Nguroj, the command's spokesman, confirmed the arrests and stated that further investigations are ongoing to recover more stolen items and apprehend additional gang members. Kabir Hassan, the Commissioner of Police for Adamawa State, reassured the public, particularly corps members, of the command's commitment to protecting lives and property and urged residents to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
