Police Arrest Military Impersonators in Enugu, Seize Weapons

On April 26, 2026, the Enugu State Police Command arrested two suspects, Victori Chinecherem and Chukwuebuka Anyegbulam, during a routine patrol along Abakaliki Road in Enugu. The operation, led by police spokesman Daniel Ndukw, resulted in the recovery of a cut-size gun, two live cartridges, and a substance suspected to be cannabis.

The suspects were found to be impersonating military personnel and were also linked to cultism. They confessed to being members of the Neo Black Axe Confraternity.

The police emphasized the importance of such operations in maintaining security and addressing illegal activities in the state.
