Police Arrest Suspects in Killing of Three Officers

The Taraba State Police Command announced the arrest of two suspects, Suleman Abdullahi (30) and Idri Kauri (33), linked to the killing of three police officers in Donga Local Government Area. The police spokesperson, Victor Mshelizah, confirmed that the suspects were apprehended after investigations into an ambush that occurred at Tse Kwe Tor Damisa.

During the attack, the officers were killed, and the suspects reportedly stole firearms. The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

Additionally, a breakthrough operation led to the interception of two other suspects, Torm Terzugw (39) and Job David (35), during a stop-and-search operation in the Zing Division. They were found in possession of 304 rounds of live ammunition while riding an unregistered motorcycle en route to Gany LGA in Adamawa State.

Investigations are ongoing.
