Lagos Police Arrest Three Armed Robbers in Idimu

On April 7, 2026, at approximately 2:00 AM, the Lagos State Police Command arrested three armed robbery suspects during a routine night patrol in the Idimu area. The suspects, identified as Abdullahi Mustapha (20), Salisu Sannusi (30), and Jamiu Sahidu (26), were intercepted while riding a motorcycle near a car wash by a First Bank stop.

A search of the suspects led to the recovery of a machete, a concealed firearm, camouflage uniforms, four mobile phones, a power bank, cash, and a Bajaj motorcycle with registration number AKD 40 OM. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly involved in a series of robberies targeting unsuspecting members of the public.

The Lagos State Police Command, led by Commissioner Tijani Fatai, emphasized their commitment to tackling crime and ensuring public safety across the state. The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue to establish the full extent of their alleged criminal activities.
