Three Arrested in Oyo for Suspected Human Parts Trade

The Oyo State Police Command arrested three suspects in Ibadan for allegedly possessing and intending to sell human parts. The arrests took place during a stop-and-search operation along Adekil area in Agugu, Ibadan North East Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson DSP Ayanlad Olayinka reported that the patrol team intercepted an unregistered Bajaj Boxer motorcycle, leading to the apprehension of the pillion rider, identified as Oyategb Joseph. Upon investigation, Joseph confessed to obtaining the suspected human parts from an unknown individual in Oritaperin and selling them to two individuals: Alfa Onaolapo Taiwo, a 46-year-old male pastor, and Ayodel Taiwo, a 55-year-old male.

Following this confession, both Alfa Onaolapo Taiwo and Ayodel Taiwo were subsequently arrested and brought in for interrogation, where they admitted to purchasing the human parts. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough investigation, and the suspects are currently in police custody.
