Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command arrested two armed robbery suspects in Yola North. The first suspect, Idri Auwal, a 22-year-old resident, was apprehended on June 3, 2026, following a preliminary investigation that revealed his involvement in a conspiracy with three accomplices to break into a shop owned by Abdullahi Sunusi in Nassarawo Borehol.

They stole a bag containing cash and assorted provisions of undisclosed value. The second suspect, a member of the Shilla gang, was arrested on June 5, 2026, after reportedly robbing Abubakar Abdullahi at the Doub Bypass with a cutlass, inflicting injuries on the victim.

The police swiftly responded to the scene, ensuring the victim received immediate medical attention. Items recovered from the suspects included a cutlass, a knife, and a stolen mobile phone.

The police are intensifying efforts to apprehend the remaining members of the criminal gang and have assured the public of their commitment to combatting crime in the state.
