Two Arrested for Armed Robbery in Adamawa State

The Adamawa State Police Command arrested two suspects, Abdulhamid Salihu and Alia Baban, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the early hours of June 10, 2026, at Unguwar Kara in Mubi. The robbery involved an attack on Mustapha Ali, who sustained injuries and was dispossessed of cash and valuables.

The arrests followed intelligence-led operations in Mubi South and Mubi North, which aimed to track down the suspects. The police recovered several exhibits, including a stolen mobile phone, jewelry, a handbag, a travel bag, and a weapon allegedly used in the crime.

Investigations are ongoing, and efforts are intensifying to apprehend other suspects who remain at large. The Adamawa State Police Command reiterated its commitment to a sustained crackdown on criminal elements to ensure the safety and security of residents across the state.
