Adamawa Police Arrest Two for Kidnapping Four-Year-Old

The Adamawa State Police Command arrested two suspects, Sadiq Ali (19) and Shitu Umar (23), in connection with the abduction of a four-year-old boy named Ramadan in Ngballang Village, Numan Local Government Area. The incident was reported to the police on March 1, 2026, after the child went missing while playing.

Efforts by the family to locate Ramadan were unsuccessful, leading them to report the case to the police. Subsequently, they received a call from an unknown number demanding a ransom of 800,000 Naira for the child's release.

Following the report, the police initiated an investigation, which resulted in the identification and arrest of the suspects. During interrogation, both suspects voluntarily confessed to their involvement in the crime.

The Adamawa State Police Command's anti-kidnap unit is directing the case, ensuring further investigation and necessary actions are taken. The command has assured residents of its commitment to protecting lives and property and urged the public to report any suspicious activities.
