Delta Police Arrest Two Robbery Suspects with Weapons

On May 27, 2026, the Delta State Police Command arrested two robbery suspects identified as Ugochukwu Kendirim, 25, and Odo Jude, 27. The arrests occurred during a targeted stop-and-search operation conducted by the Buffalo team attached to the Second Niger Bridge.

The police intercepted an unregistered blue Hijet cargo minibus traveling from Anambra State to Delta State. During the operation, officers conducted a thorough search of the vehicle, which led to the recovery of a pump-action gun loaded with live cartridges and two daggers.

The suspects were immediately arrested and taken into custody. Preliminary investigations are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the possession of the recovered exhibits and to determine any possible links to criminal activities.
