Delta Police Arrest Two Armed Robbers, Recover Drugs

On June 14, 2026, the Delta State Police Command's anti-vice squad, in collaboration with local vigilante groups, arrested two suspected armed robbers, Mose Franci, aged 29, and Cosmo Eruesek, aged 26, in Ughelli. The arrests followed credible intelligence regarding a series of robberies in the area.

Franci was apprehended around 4:30 PM, and during preliminary investigations, he reportedly confessed to involvement in several robbery incidents, including one on Aro Street in April 2026. The police confirmed that Eruesek was arrested later at 5:40 PM.

SP Bright Edaf, the police public relations officer, stated that efforts are ongoing to arrest other members of the criminal syndicate. In a separate operation, the police intercepted a Toyota Sienna vehicle on Ozoro Oleh Expressway at 4:00 AM, recovering a large quantity of illicit drugs, including codeine and tramadol, after the driver fled the scene.
