Ogun Police Recover Stolen Vehicles, Arrest Two Suspects

On Wednesday, the Ogun State Police Command announced the recovery of three stolen vehicles and the arrest of two suspects, Moham Adeniyi Usman and Abiodun Ogunojukan, during a special operation targeting armed robbery in the Ifo and Sango areas. The operation, which took place on May 10 and 11, 2026, was led by CSP Kamorudeen Olabisi and CSP Idowu Olatunji, with DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi serving as the spokesperson.

The police acted on credible intelligence regarding a criminal hideout in the Adeley area of Ota, where they successfully ambushed the suspects. The operation yielded the recovery of a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Venza, both reported stolen at gunpoint on April 26, 2026.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are part of a larger criminal syndicate involved in vehicle theft across Ogun State. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
