Police Arrest Two Suspects for Attacking PDP Event

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested two suspects, Hamza Abdullahi, alias Dawa, and Abdul Malik Dahiru, alias Black Doya, in connection with violent attacks on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat. The incident occurred during the PDP governorship primary election, where unknown individuals stormed the party's office located along Maiduguri Bypass, disrupting the event and vandalizing campaign materials.

The attackers damaged several vehicles parked along the roadside before fleeing on motorcycles. Following the incident, which gained significant attention on social media, the police initiated an intelligence-led investigation that resulted in the identification and arrest of the suspects.

The suspects are now in the custody of the Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) of the Bauchi Command, which is conducting a comprehensive investigation. Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Sani Omolori Aliyu, warned against actions that could breach public peace and assured that the command would not tolerate any form of political violence or thuggery.
