Police Arrest Two Thugs for Attack on Bauchi PDP Event

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested two suspects, Hamza Abdullahi (alias Dawa) and Abdul Malik Dahiru (alias Black Doya), in connection with an attack on a People's Democratic Party (PDP) event. This incident took place on May 24, 2026, when unknown individuals invaded the PDP secretariat along Maiduguri Bypass during the party's governorship primary election.

The attackers vandalized campaign banners and damaged vehicles parked along the roadside. The police launched an investigation following the incident, which gained traction on social media.

Police spokesperson Nafiu Habib confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects would be charged in court after a comprehensive investigation. The Commissioner of Police, Sani Aliyu, warned against actions that could breach public peace and assured residents of the police's commitment to maintaining security and order during political activities.
