Anambra Police Arrest Suspects in Missing Girl Cases; Ritual Killing Linked to Enugu

The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended two female suspects, Uzoma Nwabuez and Precious Mondai, in relation to the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl named Oluebube Chukwuma in Ekwusigo Local Government Area. The suspects confessed during interrogation to their involvement in the case.

In a separate incident, a 28-year-old man, Friday Akonobi, was arrested in connection with the abduction and alleged ritual killing of a six-year-old girl linked to Enugu-based suspect, Obiez Ezeani. The victim, Ozioma Nwankwo, was abducted in Ebonyi State in May 2025 and sold to the native doctor.

Akonobi, along with four accomplices, is currently at large. Investigations are ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
