Ondo Police Arrest Three in Kidnapping Syndicate Crackdown

The Ondo State Police Command has successfully arrested three suspects involved in a kidnapping syndicate after a viral CCTV footage captured the abduction of a victim in the Oda area of Akure. The suspects, identified as Mohan Koro (27), Muhammad Usman (30), and Musa Alhaji (23), were apprehended by the police's anti-kidnap squad following a swift intelligence-led operation.

The police commissioner, Adebowale Lawal, confirmed that the command utilized digital surveillance analysis to coordinate field operations that tracked down the suspects. Upon receiving the footage, the intelligence team acted on credible leads, leading to the arrest of Koro, whose confession subsequently led to the apprehension of Usman and Alhaji.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects played various roles in the kidnapping operation. The police also reported the rescue of three victims: Tosin Adesida (female), Adeniran Adesuyi (male), and Adewunmi Adewusi (male), who were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

The suspects have made confession statements to assist ongoing efforts to apprehend additional gang members and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
