Jigawa Police Arrest Kidnap and Robbery Suspects

The Jigawa State Police Command has successfully arrested several suspects involved in kidnapping and robbery syndicates, recovering significant items including an AK-47 rifle, three motorcycles, and six stolen sheep. The operations began on May 22, with the arrest of Musa Known Kala (45), Manu Abdullahi (30), and Yusuf Ibrahim (35), believed to be part of an armed robbery syndicate responsible for attacks in Hadejia.

A search of Ibrahim's residence led to the recovery of the AK-47. On May 23, police uncovered an alleged kidnapping plot, arresting Adamu Gari (55) and Abdullahi Adamu (40), who were reportedly planning to abduct two individuals in Jama Town, Bauchi State.

Further operations on May 26 and May 27 resulted in the arrest of additional suspects linked to theft and livestock rustling. The police, led by spokesperson Haruna Yahaya, reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining security and urged residents to provide credible information to assist law enforcement.
