Police Arrest Two in Rivers One-Chance Robbery Case

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Uche Samuel, 45, and Nkechi Amadi, 42, both from Imo State, for their involvement in a one-chance robbery syndicate that has been terrorizing the public in Rivers State. The incident occurred when the suspects robbed a lady who boarded a minibus in the Rumuosi area of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

Eyewitnesses reported that the lady attempted to escape and shouted for help, which attracted passers-by who chased the robbers. The driver of the vehicle got stuck, leading to a confrontation with residents before police intervened.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Blessing Agabe confirmed the arrests, describing them as a significant breakthrough in the police's ongoing efforts against one-chance syndicates. The suspects confessed to their crimes, and the police are actively working to apprehend other members of the gang under the direction of Rivers State Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju.
