Two Dead in Oyo Road Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles

On April 4, 2026, at approximately 10:10 PM, a tragic road accident occurred at Soka Junction in Oluyole Local Government Area, Oyo State, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to several others. The incident involved multiple vehicles, including a white Howo truck with registration number GOMB GEM 696 XE, driven by Abdullahi Bashiru.

Preliminary investigations by the Oyo State Police Command, represented by Public Relations Officer Olayinka Ayanlad, indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed and reckless driving, leading to the truck colliding with pedestrians and other vehicles, including a Toyota Venza and a BMW car.
