Kano Police Deploys 250 Officers to Enhance Border Security

The Kano State Police Command has deployed 250 police officers to border Local Government Areas as part of a security enhancement initiative. This deployment follows the completion of a one-month intensive Combat and Weapon Handling Training for the officers, who graduated in a ceremony led by Police Commissioner Ibrahim Bakori.

The training took place at two locations: 9 PMF, Hotoro, and 52 PMF, Challawa, and was aligned with the strategic vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, focusing on capacity building and operational readiness. Commissioner Bakori urged the officers to uphold the law while being firm on crime and humane to citizens.

He commended their resilience and dedication during the rigorous training, which included physical drills and tactical exercises. Bakori reiterated the command's commitment to ongoing training to ensure officers are equipped to serve effectively and safely in their communities.
