Adamawa Police Enhance Security for Eid-el-Fitr Celebration

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced the deployment of heavily armed personnel across strategic locations in the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration. This initiative is part of a broader effort to prevent criminal elements from exploiting the festive period to cause disruptions.

The command's spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroj, stated that comprehensive security measures have been put in place, including collaboration with sister security agencies. The deployment includes personnel from the 14 PMF, 65 PMF, Counter Terror Unit (CTU), and other specialized units.

These forces will be strategically positioned at critical infrastructure, public places, and vulnerable locations, including Eid prayer grounds, Yola International Airport, major highways, markets, and recreational centers. The police will also intensify visible patrols and surveillance throughout the celebration period.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
