Kebbi Police Foil Bandit Attack, Kill Suspect in Joint Operation

The Kebbi State Police Command, working alongside military security agencies, successfully prevented a cattle rustling attack by Lakurawa bandits in Bunza Local Government Area. During the operation, a suspect identified as Usman Ferungu was shot and killed as he attempted to flee with rustled cattle.

The joint security team intercepted the suspect in Tungan Babu Lada village, resulting in a gun battle where the suspect was neutralized. Four motorcycles believed to belong to the criminal gang were recovered, and the police disrupted the activities of the gang, preventing further attacks and loss of lives.

The Command reiterated its commitment to public safety and ongoing proactive security operations across the state. Residents were urged to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information to sustain efforts in combating criminal elements in Kebbi State.
