Ogun Police Launch Manhunt for Suspected Child Abuser

The Ogun State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a man identified as Kola, who is accused of sodomizing a 17-year-old boy. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babasiyi, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.

The alleged sexual assaults occurred on three occasions in January 2026, and the teenager reported the incidents to the Adigbe Police Division on September 8, 2026, accompanied by his parents. Following the report, the teenager was taken for a medical examination, and detectives began their investigation.

The police only became aware of the incidents after the report was made. Kola is currently at large, and CP Bode Ojajuni has instructed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him.

The Ogun State Police Command is treating the allegation with urgency and sensitivity, emphasizing its commitment to protecting children and vulnerable individuals. The command has urged the public to provide any relevant information that could assist in the investigation.
