Ogun Police Clear Shanties, Impound Vehicles at Toll Gates

The Ogun State Police Command conducted an operation to impound six vehicles and clear shanties obstructing roads at the Sango Ota and Ijebu Ode toll gates. This enforcement action, part of a broader initiative to decongest major highways and restore free traffic flow across the state, was coordinated by the command's area command led by Oluseyi Babaseyi and Bode Ojajuni.

The operation commenced early in the morning at 5:00 AM, targeting illegal structures that encroach on road setbacks and contribute to persistent traffic congestion. The police emphasized that the clearance exercise is ongoing to improve vehicular movement and prevent the return of illegal structures.

They warned motorists and traders against violating traffic laws, stating that offenders would be prosecuted. The Ogun State Police Command encouraged public support for the operation and provided emergency contact numbers for reporting traffic obstructions.
