Gunmen Abduct Kebbi High Court Judge Justice Bunza

Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza of the Kebbi State High Court was abducted from his home in Bunza Local Government Area around midnight on Sunday. The armed men invaded his residence shortly after he returned from Sokoto State, managing to take him without causing harm to others present.

A family source reported that the attackers shouted during the operation, which alerted nearby residents, but they were unable to intervene in time. The incident was reported to the Kebbi State High Court management, which is now coordinating with security agencies for a rescue operation.

SP Bashir Usman, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kebbi State Command, confirmed the abduction and stated that Commissioner of Police Umar Hadejia had deployed tactical and intelligence teams to ensure the judge's safe return. A coordinated manhunt for the abductors is underway, with no group claiming responsibility for the incident as investigations continue.
