Kaduna Police Enhance Security for Eid al-Adha Celebrations

Ahead of Eid al-Adha, the Kaduna State Police Command has assured residents of adequate security arrangements to ensure normal activities without hindrance. DSP Mansir Hassan, the spokesman for the command, stated that CP Muhammad Rabiu has directed the deployment of security personnel to critical locations across the state.

This includes Eid prayer grounds, markets, recreational centers, and public highways, particularly the Abuja-Kaduna Highway, where heavy human and vehicular movement is expected during the celebrations. The police aim to create a peaceful atmosphere and have mandated the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit to conduct thorough security sweeps of Eid grounds and strategic public areas to prevent any security breaches.

The command's tactical team will also be stationed along major highways to enhance surveillance and facilitate smooth travel, reducing traffic congestion commonly experienced during festive periods. The police urged citizens to celebrate peacefully, remain vigilant, and cooperate with security personnel throughout the holiday period.
