Enugu Police Arrest Four for Armed Robbery and Cultism

On July 27, 2026, the Enugu State Police Command arrested four suspects involved in armed robbery and cultism. The arrests included Okafor Timothy, aged 20, and Ndubuisi Chigozie, alias “Sky B,” aged 24, who were apprehended following a robbery incident at a hotel in Independence Layout, Enugu, on July 26, 2026.

During the robbery, they allegedly stole a Samsung A12 mobile phone, injuring a victim in the process. A knife and a pick-handle axe were recovered from Timothy, while Chigozie had escaped initially.

In a separate operation on July 26, 2026, two suspected cultists, Chibuike Stanley Odoh, aged 20, and Ezekiel Ozoeze, aged 30, were arrested in Ukehe, Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, with a locally made pistol and an expended cartridge. Both suspects confessed to being members of the Aye Confraternity.

Ongoing investigations aim to apprehend additional accomplices and recover more evidence. All arrested suspects will be arraigned in court after investigations conclude.
