Four Suspected Armed Robbers Arrested in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command arrested four suspected members of a criminal gang in connection with recent killings, armed robbery, and cult-related activities in the Ajah area. The suspects, identified as Kareem Abiodun (26), Tansiru Emmanuel (29), Lateef Usman (28), and Alashe Azeez (32), were apprehended following sustained follow-up activities related to a robbery case.

The police recovered three locally made pistols, one live ammunition, two battle axes, and a Point-of-Sale machine from the suspects. Preliminary investigations revealed their involvement in robbery activities around Ajah, Sangotedo, and Ibeju-Lekki, with confessional statements regarding armed robbery, murder, and cultism.

The suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations, with plans to charge them in court after the investigation concludes. Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai commended the operatives for their diligence and urged them to continue efforts to apprehend other gang members.
