Police Arrest Five Suspected Kidnappers in Ondo State

The Ondo State Police Command arrested five suspects linked to the kidnapping of two school children, Jehu (10) and Yohana (5), in the Sawmil Area of Odigbo Local Government Area. The suspects were apprehended by the Special Anti-Kidnap Squad after an intensive investigation initiated on May 12, 2026, when the police received a report about the abduction.

The investigation involved coordinated surveillance and intelligence analysis, which led to the identification and location of the suspects. Two principal suspects, Taofeek Lukman (23) and Bless Saturday (27), were arrested in the Alaba area.

The police recovered N251,000, believed to be part of the ransom collected from the victims' family, and an unregistered motorcycle used in the crime. Further investigations revealed additional suspects, including Peter Mose (25), Sunday Isaac (23), Sanusi Dan Asab (37), and Jimoh, who confessed to their roles in the kidnapping and will face charges in court upon completion of the investigation.
