Police Arrest Suspect in Staged Kidnapping of Toddler

The Nigeria Police Force, through the Intelligence Response Team, arrested 34-year-old Nansik Wuyep Sule in connection with the staged kidnapping of two-year-old Rito Jesse Davou. Sule allegedly conspired with the child's biological mother, Catherine Davou, to create a false impression of abduction, initially demanding a ransom of N7 million, later increasing it to N15 million.

The child was found at Sule's residence and was safely rescued, receiving medical attention before being handed over to his biological father. Additionally, in a separate investigation, police arrested Idris Mohammed (a.k.a.

Yellow) and Mohammed Adams for their involvement in the kidnapping of commercial driver Idris Baba, who was lured under false pretenses and held for a ransom of N3 million. The suspects were also linked to the kidnapping of Pastor David Dahni and his driver, for which a ransom of N10.5 million was reportedly paid.
