Police Investigate Hanging Death of Adamawa Man

The Adamawa State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of a 46-year-old man identified as Ahm Moham, whose lifeless body was discovered hanging from a tree at the foothill of Bagal Mountain in Girei Local Government Area. The police were alerted to the incident in the early hours of March 23, 2026.

Suleiman Nguroj, the command's public relations officer, disclosed that police operatives responded to the scene and subsequently evacuated the body to a cottage hospital in Girei, where the victim was confirmed dead by medical personnel. The police have recorded this case as a sudden unnatural death and are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding Moham's death.

The command has urged members of the public to provide any relevant information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
