Police Investigate Cult Killings in Lagos Communities

The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the recent killings of two individuals, allegedly by suspected cultists, in separate incidents across the state. The police spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this information in a statement made available on Wednesday.

The victims were reportedly killed in cult-related attacks in the Sangotedo, Ajah, and Ikotun areas of Lagos State. A video obtained by Punch Metro featured a resident, known as Ola, who was identified as a chief priest.

The police are investigating two similar incidents to ascertain the circumstances surrounding these killings, although no suspects have been arrested. Lagos State has become a hotspot for cult-related violence, with several lives lost in recurring clashes.

A report from September 2025 indicated that ten people were killed in a wave of cult-related attacks occurring within less than ten days across various communities in the state.
