Police Recover 245 Rustled Cattle in Kaduna Operations

In Kaduna, police recovered 245 rustled cattle and foiled kidnapping attempts during operations on Saturday. According to DSP Mansir Hassan, 200 cattle were recovered following an armed bandit attack on a Fulani settlement on the outskirts of Rubu Village in Igabi Local Government Area.

The attack resulted in injuries to three cattle rearers. The chairman of Miyetti Allah in Igabi LGA prompted the police division to mobilize officers from the Rigachikun division and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) to pursue the bandits.

The bandits, unable to withstand the pressure, abandoned the stolen cattle and fled. Additionally, police recovered 45 cattle in Hunkuyi area based on credible intelligence.

The operation involved a combined team of police personnel and local vigilantes, who responded to gunfire from armed bandits. Rabiu Muhammad commended the collaboration between police, Miyetti Allah, and CJTF, urging residents to continue supporting security agencies with credible information.
