Police Recover Stolen 10-Day-Old Baby in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command successfully recovered a 10-day-old baby that was allegedly stolen from a general hospital in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area. The recovery followed a complaint lodged at the Kaura Namoda Division Police Station regarding the theft.

DSP Yazid Abubakar stated that the incident occurred while hospital staff were on duty. Following an ongoing investigation, the police invited staff for interrogation.

The baby was recovered unharmed from a nearby hamlet, and the biological parents were reunited with the infant. A 27-year-old suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, is currently in police custody and undergoing further investigation in connection with the case.

CP Ahmad Bello commended the public for their support and contributions that aided in the recovery of the child. DSP Abubakar reaffirmed the command's commitment to tackling all forms of crime across the state and indicated that further updates will be communicated as the investigation continues.
