Police Rescue Abducted 3-Day-Old Baby in Nasarawa

On March 29, 2026, at approximately 5:45 AM, Aisha Bada, a 19-year-old resident of Ungwan Bako, reported the abduction of her 3-day-old baby boy in Mararaba. The incident occurred while she was asleep, when two unidentified men broke into her home, threatened violence, and took the baby.

The Nasarawa State Police Command, under the direction of Commissioner of Police Shetima Jauro Moham, initiated an investigation. On April 3, 2026, police operations led to the arrest of two suspects, Furera Abdulrahman, aged 35, and Sadiya Abdullahi, aged 39.

The suspects confessed to the crime and implicated an accomplice. The baby was successfully rescued and taken to a medical center in Mararaba for examination, where he was certified to be in good health before being reunited with his parents.

The case remains under investigation as police efforts continue to apprehend any additional suspects involved.
