Police Rescue Six-Year-Old Boy from Kidnappers in Borno

On June 6, 2026, the Borno State Police Command received a report regarding the abduction of a six-year-old boy named Alkali Musa from the Mafoni area of Maiduguri. Following preliminary investigations, it was revealed that shortly after the boy's disappearance, the suspect contacted his parents demanding a ransom of N200,000 for his release.

The police mobilized a team to conduct an intelligence-led operation, which successfully tracked down the suspect, identified as Ali Alhaji Ali, and rescued the boy unharmed. The operation concluded with the boy being reunited with his family.

Naziru Abdulmajid, the Commissioner of Police in Borno State, commended the officers involved for their swift and professional response and reassured residents of the command's commitment to safeguarding lives and property. He also urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
