Gombe Police Rescue Abducted Boy, Arrest Four Suspects

On June 27, 2026, an eight-year-old boy left his home in Gombe State at 6:30 AM and did not return. Following the report made by Alhaji Muhammadu Nabadara at the Akko Division Police Headquarters, investigations commenced immediately.

On June 29, the family received a phone call claiming to reveal the boy's location, which was later verified as false. On June 30, at 10:00 AM, police operations led to the arrest of the first suspect, Abdullahi Moham, in Kumo, Akko LGA.

During interrogation, Abdullahi confessed to conspiring with Moham Magaji, 35, Walida Ya, 23, and Kagaraw, 18. All four accomplices were arrested, and the victim was found in their custody, successfully rescued unharmed and reunited with his family.

The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the police investigation. Gombe State Police Command's CP Umar Ahm Chuso commended the professionalism and swift response of the operation.
