Police Rescue Five Kidnap Victims, Kill Four Suspects

The Nigeria Police Force conducted an operation along the Lagos-Ogun state border, resulting in the rescue of five kidnapping victims and the death of four suspects. The operation was launched within 48 hours of intelligence gathering and involved a clearance operation in the forest boundary between Lagos and Ogun State, specifically around the J3 and J4 axis of Ogber.

During the encounter with the suspects, four were killed, and four others were arrested. In total, 84 suspects were apprehended during the operation, with arms and ammunition recovered from the scene.

The police emphasized their commitment to ensuring that criminal groups have no safe haven in the forests along the border of the two states. Fun Iwa Odaran, a police spokesperson, stated that the ongoing intelligence-led operations are part of efforts to enhance security and deny criminals a place to operate.
