Oyo Police Rescue Four Abducted Passengers Unharmed

On March 5, 2026, four passengers were abducted along Igbeti Kishi Road in Irepo Local Government Area, Oyo State, by armed men who blocked the road and forcefully took them into a nearby bush. The Oyo State Police Command, under the direction of Commissioner of Police Femi Haruna, promptly initiated a rescue operation after receiving reports of the incident.

A tactical team was mobilized to the area, which included members of the police and the Amotekun Corps, to conduct a combing operation in the surrounding forest. This operation lasted several hours and applied significant pressure on the criminal forces, ultimately leading to the successful rescue of the four victims, who were unharmed and later reunited with their families.

The police spokesman emphasized that security operations would continue in the area to apprehend the fleeing suspects and urged residents to remain vigilant and provide credible information to assist security agencies.
