Edo Police Rescue Nine Kidnapped Victims on Expressway

The Edo State Police Command announced the successful rescue of nine kidnapped victims who were abducted in two separate incidents along the Benin–Lagos Expressway. This operation took place in an adjoining forest area, as detailed in an official press release signed by Eno Ikoedem.

The breakthrough followed coordinated tactical operations, which included the deployment of aerial surveillance and sustained bush combing efforts. These strategies were aimed at exerting pressure on the kidnappers to release the victims.

The police emphasized that the rescue was achieved through a massive deployment of tactical teams and intelligence assets. Following their rescue, the victims received medical evaluation and treatment before being reunited with their families.

The command confirmed that additional abductees were located during the operation, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping in the region.
