Delta Police Seize Cocaine, Recover Gun Linked to Murder

The Delta State Police Force, under the leadership of the public relations officer Bright Edaf, announced a significant drug seizure and firearm recovery linked to a murder case. The operation occurred on a Monday during a routine patrol on the Safer Highway, where officers intercepted a Sienna bus along Onicha Ugbo-Ewohimi Road.

The 47-year-old suspect was driving the vehicle, which was stopped based on intelligence reports. Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered 490 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine concealed inside an electric bulb, as well as four grams of cannabis, identified as the 'loud' strain.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the drugs were being transported from Abuja, and efforts are ongoing to arrest additional suspects connected to the crime.
