Nasarawa Youth Vanguard Demands Action Over Attack on Scholar

The Nasarawa Youth Vanguard strongly condemned an alleged attack on Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura, a prominent scholar and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), during a recent primary election in Nasarawa State.

According to a statement issued by the group's director, Comrade Mondai Isah, the incident involved an ambush by political thugs in a white Hilux vehicle, who attempted to coerce Prof. Dandaura into supporting a preferred candidate after the election results did not favor them.

The group described the actions as a direct assault on democracy and civic freedom, warning that such intimidation undermines democratic principles. They called for security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure the identification and prosecution of those involved.

The Nasarawa Youth Vanguard emphasized that no citizen should be subjected to violence or harassment while exercising their democratic rights and threatened legal action if no visible action was taken within 48 hours.
