Polytechnic in Aba to Launch New EdTech Courses

The Polytechnic in Aba, Abia State, is set to introduce education technology (EdTech) courses aimed at equipping students with digital tools essential for contemporary pedagogical practices. Rector Dr.

Christoph Okoro Kalu disclosed this initiative during an address to the academic board, emphasizing compliance with the Abia State Ministry of Education's directives. The newly introduced courses will undergo proper accreditation, and plans are in place to relocate to the Osisioma campus, ensuring necessary resources are verified.

Kalu also mentioned ongoing infrastructural developments at the Osisioma campus, including a water reticulation project expected to last 50 years, with completion timelines set for one month. The administration is overseeing the construction of internal roads in phases, with the second phase expected to be completed by September.

Additionally, Kalu assured that staff and student welfare remains a priority and announced the establishment of a content hub for students to create multimedia products, located within the institution's ICT building.
