Jang Urges Unity and Integrity at 80th Birthday Celebration

During the celebration of his 80th birthday in Jos, Plateau State, former governor Jonah Jang urged the political class to prioritize character, faith, and service over the pursuit of political power. He stated that political power is temporary and that integrity and one’s relationship with God are what truly endure.

Jang reflected on his life, emphasizing that positions and wealth are fleeting, while character and service to humanity are lasting. He also discussed the motivation behind his autobiography, "From Airman to Politics," which he wrote to document his experiences and clarify misconceptions about his public life.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and former President Goodluck Jonathan. Additionally, Labour Party National Chairman Nenadi Usman called for issue-based campaigns and warned against divisive politics as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
