PremiumTrust Bank Awards N50 Million to 13 Entrepreneurs

PremiumTrust Bank has empowered 13 entrepreneurs with a total of N50 million in business grants as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative. The grant award ceremony took place at the Hallelujah Challenge center in Lagos.

Emmanuel Ef Emefienim, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PremiumTrust Bank, stated that the bank's mission is to improve lives and strengthen the economic foundation of communities across Nigeria. The initiative recognizes the importance of small businesses as engines of the Nigerian economy.

The winners were selected through an unbiased online business pitch process, with Inya Michael Irem, a poultry farmer, emerging as the overall winner, receiving N5,000,000. Other winners included Samuel Sundai Oton and Yaya Olayinka, who received N2,500,000 each, while the remaining eight beneficiaries received N1,000,000 each.

The bank also provided structured business training to equip the winners with the necessary tools to scale their enterprises. Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, the founder of the Hallelujah Challenge, expressed gratitude for the bank's involvement, emphasizing the partnership's potential to create a positive impact in communities.
