PremiumTrust Bank Grants N50m to Support Entrepreneurs

PremiumTrust Bank, led by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Emefienim, announced a total of N50 million in business grants to 13 entrepreneurs during an award ceremony in Lagos. This initiative is part of the bank's collaboration with the Hallelujah Challenge, aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Emefienim emphasized that the financial institution's intent is to drive impactful growth and support entrepreneurs beyond direct financial assistance. The 13 beneficiaries received not only grants but also structured business training to equip them with the necessary tools and insights for scaling their enterprises sustainably.

The overall winner, poultry farmer Inya Irem, received N5 million, while first runner-up Samuel Oton and others received varying amounts, with the remaining eight beneficiaries each receiving N1 million. Nathaniel Bassei, founder of the Hallelujah Challenge, expressed gratitude for the bank's involvement, noting that the partnership elevates the organization's vision to create a positive societal impact.
