Nigeria's Ambassador Presents Credentials to Malaysian Sultan

On July 14, 2026, Ambassador Ahmed Olatunji Sulu-Gambari of the High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria formally presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, at the Singgahsana Kecil, Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony included a full diplomatic protocol, with a royal guard salute, reflecting the importance of the occasion.

During the presentation, Ambassador Sulu-Gambari conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Sultan Ibrahim expressed appreciation for the opportunity to receive the Letters of Credence and reaffirmed Malaysia's interest in strengthening the long-standing cordial relationship with Nigeria.

The Sultan also indicated a desire to visit Nigeria, highlighting goodwill and confidence in the growth of bilateral relations. The ceremony was attended by other ambassadors and emphasized cultural exchange as a means to enhance people-to-people relations.
